CubeRealm: Heroes of Ore & Lore is a fantasy-themed survival Minecraft community built around a living, player built RPG world. At its core, CubeRealm remains true to Minecraft's survival gameplay. You can build, mine, explore, trade, farm, or simply disappear into the wilderness. But throughout that same world you'll discover towns, characters, quests, dungeons, hidden treasures, and more than a decade of history.

CubeRealm originally ran from 2010–2018. We've brought that original world back to life and expanded it beyond its old borders, allowing years of new Minecraft content to grow alongside the towns, stories, and adventures left behind by previous generations of players.

We're not starting over. We're continuing the world.

Minecraft First: CubeRealm is heavily customized, but we don't want it to feel like you're operating a server through commands and menus. If something can exist naturally inside the Minecraft world, we believe it should.

Shops have merchants. Quests have characters, books, and Bounty Boards. Mail goes into mailboxes. Transportation exists within the world. Special abilities come from items you can actually carry. There are a few commands where they're genuinely useful, but you shouldn't need a command list open beside you just to play.

Here are some of the things that make CubeRealm a little different:

  • Economy: CubeRealm uses an item-based economy built around emeralds rather than a virtual bank balance. Player shops use Shopkeepers, allowing you to establish a physical store where other players can trade even while you're offline. For items that need a wider audience, the Auction House offers another way to trade while keeping the economy rooted in actual Minecraft items.
  • Towns: We don't use Towny or another plugin to decide where a town begins and ends. A town exists because players built one. Its founder determines how the settlement operates, who can build there, and what rules its residents follow.
Don't like a town's rules? Find another, settle in the wilderness, or build a town of your own.

  • Factions: Factions are player-created groups rather than entries in a plugin menu. Gather some friends, choose a name, build a headquarters, write an origin story, and decide what your faction stands for.
Ready to make it official? To become a recognized faction, your group must brave the End Dungeon and complete its trials together. Those who make it through can claim a Dragon Egg as a symbol of their accomplishment and earn official recognition within the Realm.

  • Adventure: CubeRealm rewards exploration. Hidden locations, Treasure Chests, strange characters, books, ruins, and other discoveries are scattered throughout the world. Some have been waiting for adventurers for more than a decade, while others may have appeared last week. You never quite know what you'll find off the beaten path.

  • Quests: Quests are handled in an old-school RPG style. Check Bounty Boards, speak with characters, read books and journals, follow directions, or simply stumble across an adventure while exploring. There are treasure hunts, dungeons, repeatable adventures, and longer questlines throughout the Realm.
Want more quests? Create your own! Players are encouraged to contribute their own adventures and we're happy to help bring them into the world.

  • Events: Server events give players something different to do between building and adventuring. Spleef tournaments, races, archery competitions, arena battles, seasonal activities, and other events have all found a home in CubeRealm.

  • Lore: CubeRealm has been accumulating stories for more than a decade. There are fallen kingdoms, strange religions, ancient ruins, legendary artifacts, old journals, and histories written by players who may have left the server years ago. We've created the foundations, but it's the players who bring the world of Cubus to life.
Build something worth remembering. Write a book about it. Create a quest. Start a faction. Add your own chapter to the Realm.

Explore First. Build Later.

CubeRealm uses a greylist rather than a traditional whitelist. You don't need to apply just to see the server. Join the world, explore, complete quests, discover towns, trade, and decide for yourself whether CubeRealm feels like home.

Greylisted adventurers can experience the RPG world but cannot alter the world or attack other players. If you'd like to build and become a permanent part of CubeRealm, submit an application through the website or speak with a Knight in game.

Who we're looking for:

  • Great Architects who want to leave their mark on the world through building.

  • Dungeon Masters who want to create intricate labyrinths and unique adventures.

  • Wordsmiths who want to literally write the history books.

  • Champions who want to conquer every adventure CubeRealm has to offer.

  • Merchants, explorers, redstone engineers, collectors, and all-around friendly folk who want to add something of their own to the Realm.

A World With History

Some places in CubeRealm were built recently. Others have been standing for more than a decade. Old roads disappear into terrain that didn't exist when they were built. Forgotten settlements sit beside new ones. Books written by former players remain on shelves while new stories continue appearing around them.

CubeRealm isn't a seasonal world waiting for the next reset. It's a world with a history—and there's plenty of room left to write yours.

Want to help out?

CubeRealm is a labor of love. If you'd like to help with the cost of keeping the Realm online, donations are always appreciated and go toward supporting the server.

Thank you for your support!

RPG Pack is the official resource pack for the CubeRealm Minecraft Server. It is a 32x32 Texture pack that has its roots in the rpg maker textures. The goal of RPG Pack is to help enhace the RPG feeling of the world while still remaining true to traditional Minecraft. We try our best to stick to Minecraft’s color shades and block patterns only straying when necessary. This ensures that creations that look good in vanilla also look good in RPG Pack and vice versa.

While RPG Pack was built for the CubeRealm server, it is not required. If you’re not a member, our resource pack is still free and available for all.

Feel free to modify this pack for your use and change it as you see fit. Please DON’T reupload this texture pack elsewhere, instead link back to this page for download.

RPG Pack is unfinished and progress is slow, please check back for regular updates!

We’re currently working on the following:

    • Inventory, Anvil & Villager Interfaces
    • Armor Textures
    • Stained Glass Textures

Although RPG Pack is provided free of cost, We appreciate any donations to help us continue creating textures and running our server.

    Thank you for your support!
